The Graduation and Degree Compliance Services kindly reminds students of the following:
Graduation is not an automatic process. Students should apply to graduate no later than the application deadline specified in the chart below. Upon review and final approval by both your Academic Department and the Office of the University Registrar, your degree will be awarded. You must be in good financial standing with the University to receive your diploma.

Spotlight on Our HEP Family

Mark Bergman received a 2011 Bill Strauss Fellowship from the Arts Council of Fairfax County in recognition of his outstanding work as a composer. The Strauss Fellowship supports and encourages Fairfax County’s finest creative artists in all disciplines and recognizes professional working artists’ achievements and their demonstrated history of accomplishments. Bergman composed a five-movement string trio entitled “Shenandoah Suite” commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of Shenandoah National Park. Virginia Virtuosi premiered the work at the BB&T Performing Arts Center in Luray, Virginia on November 12, 2011.
