INFORMATION ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Theresa Der-Lan Yeh is Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, and research fellow of the Advanced Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences at the National Taiwan University. She serves on the board of the Taiwan Peacetime Foundation and also as a council member for the Gender Equity Committee of the Ministry of National Defense and Taipei City Government in Taiwan.

Roz Goldie worked in the voluntary-community sector, before joining the BBC, where she was Manager of BBC Radio Foyle and Head of Features & Documentaries. She then set up the non-profit Roz Goldie Partnership, working on research, policy and practice in equality, good relations, governance and community development. She graduated with a PhD on governance and peace-building from the School of Law Queen's University Belfast in 2008 and has been a Research Associate with the Institute of Governance at Queen's. Her most recent research has been on policy and practice around sectarian interfaces in Northern Ireland, for the Belfast Interface Project, funded by Belfast City Council and the European Regional Development Fund.

Jesper Kleingeld lectures on Organizational Behaviour at Queen’s University, Belfast. Dr. Murphy has considerable experience of organizational change in the public and non-governmental sectors in Ireland and has a background in conflict resolution work. She has published in journals on the topics of organizational change, leadership, and policy implementation as well as co-authored Public Management and Complexity Theory (2011).

Hans Rouw is programme leader for Security and Disarmament at IKV Pax Christi in the Netherlands. His programmes focus on community security in connection with DDR and on human security capabilities and military interventions.

Jon Unruh is a Professor of Geography at McGill University, Canada. His research, applied and policy work over the past 20 years has focused on post-war land and property rights in the developing world. His past work has dealt with Islamic, customary, statutory and war-related approaches to land tenure and how these interact; land restitution, legal pluralism, and agriculture in postwar and peace-building scenarios. His experience includes work with regard to: Darfur, Sudan; Liberia; Somalia; Kenya; Angola; Iraq; Afghanistan; Mozambique; East Timor; Sierra Leone; Liberia; Zanzibar; Ethiopia; Uganda; and Colombia. Dr. Unruh has worked for a variety of government ministries and organization of the international community.

Willemijn Verkoren is Assistant Professor and head of the Centre for International Conflict Analysis and Management (CICAM) at Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Rens Willems is a project researcher at the Centre for Conflict Studies (CCS) of Utrecht University, the Netherlands. His research focuses on the connection between DDR and community.
