The grant is available for participants. Purchasing books and equipments
in addition to conducting research trips become possible.
2003
February 25-March 1
A roundtable is organized at the International
Studies Association Annual Convention in Portland, USA. The purpose is to discuss
the issue with outside researchers. Participation is not considered obligatory.
May 29 - May 31
The Workshop of the Project on Conflict and Human Security, South Asian Conference
Room, School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University,
New York, 30-31 May 2003 (Schedule)
A workshop is organized at Columbia University, New York. Some practitioners
and academics are invited as guest speakers to discuss the issue. The main purpose
is to present the progress of each research. The structure of the final report/book
should be determined.
2004
March 17 - March20
One or two panel(s) is/are organized at the International Studies
Association Annual Convention in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The purpose is
to disseminate and discuss the achievements of individual researches. Participation
is not considered obligatory.
April/May/June
A workshop is organized in Hiroshima. The date will be fixed
after consultation with all the participants. The purpose is to finalize book
chapters. Well before the workshop, each participant sends out a draft of each
paper. All participants discuss each paper one by one.
July
A symposium may be held in Tokyo. The purpose is to disseminate the achievements.
The participants submit chapters, which first published as “policy
papers.” Then they will be published as a book in a year or so.
